Easy sautéed Brussels sprouts recipe

sautéed Brussels sprouts recipe

The popularity of Brussels sprouts has soared recently. They are in the same family as broccoli, cauliflower, and kale, and are similarly rich in essential nutrients -- Vitamin A, Vitamin C, folic acid, and fiber. The best way to cook Brussels sprouts without loosing vital nutrients is an easy one -- simple sautéed Brussels sprouts. This is the traditional recipe for an easy Brussels sprouts dish.

Trim Brussels sprouts and cut in half lengthwise.

Cook Brussels sprouts in a large pot of boiling salted water until just tender (about 10 minutes).

In a 10-inch heavy skillet, heat the olive oil over moderate heat.

When the skillet is ready, use a spider to scoop the Brussels sprouts over to the skillet. Toss Brussels sprouts with the olive oil to crisp them up a bit, then add salt to taste.

Serves: 6.
