Easy oven baked chicken wings recipe

Share:

chicken wings

This simple dish makes an excellent option for a batch-cook meal as it is easy to divide into individual portions for freezing. It also reheats well from frozen if necessary.

This recipe will work with pretty much any chicken pieces you have, but I find that due to their size, wings work best for an even cook. Thicker or otherwise larger pieces of chicken will require additional cooking time, of course.

Ingredients

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper, and prep a small bowl with the olive oil.

Place the wings in a single layer on sheet.

Brush the wings with olive oil to give them some colour when baking. A silicone-bristled brush works best for this if you have one. Sprinkle salt and pepper evenly over the wings.

Bake for 30 minutes.

Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F, then bake for an additional 15 minutes.

Remove from the oven to rest for 15 minutes before serving.

Serves: 4 to 6.
