- 240 grams millet flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons xanthan gum
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon fine salt
- 170 grams palm oil shortening
- 1 cup dairy-free buttermilk [buttermilk recipe]
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Sift dry ingredients together into a large mixing bowl. Cut in palm oil shortening and mix until the consistency of sand. Add dairy-free buttermilk.
Lightly knead dough, forming into desired number of biscuits. Place biscuits on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Makes approximately 8 biscuits.
